Fred Dibnah's Railway Collection is another box set that should be in every railway fans collection. Another "behind the scenes" dvd set is the ITV production "The Tube" which is the story of the people and operation of the London Underground. Series 1 and 2 are available on a double disk and Series 3 on a single disk. Julia Bradbury's Railway Walks is a recent documentary where she walks along long closed railway lines. Looking at the older scene, we have two classics, North British/Today and Everyday and the Portraits of Railwaymen in the 40's and 50's. The BNT produced "Sir Nigel Gresley on the Mainline" is also well worth getting. Finally, we have two box sets at very good prices - one on British Railways, the other on Irish Railways. Get them now whilst you can. |
